SILVER AGE - 2007 filly by Purge out of Tinsel Bits (Unbridled's Song) - Kentucky Bred

2 Year-Old Filly by PurgeSILVER AGE - 2 year-old filly by Purge out of Tinsel Bits (Unbridled's Song)

Silver Age is real nice looking gray/roan filly by promising and exciting freshman sire, PURGE (Pulpit - Copelan's Bid Gal). She's well-balanced with good size, bone and flesh. Silver Age has a nice way of going and is a product of the dominant A.P. Indy sire line and from some tremendously successful broodmare sire lines in Unbridled's Song and Relaunch.

Her sire, PURGE, was a grade I winning miler and earner of over $905K. Purge is by PULPIT, the leading sire son of A.P. INDY - from the immediate family of grade I sires Valid Wager and Valid Expectations. His victories include the Cigar Mile (Grade I), the Jim Dandy Stakes (Grade II) and the Peter Pan Stakes (Grade II). Purge is cut out to be a great sire, being a classic miler. Purge's offspring have been extremely well received so far. His 2 year-old fillies have averaged $87,571 at auction from 14 that have sold.

Silver Age's 1st dam, Tinsel Bits, is a 6 time-winning stakes placed daughter of UNBRIDLED'S SONG that earned $95,947 on the track. Unbridled's Song has become one of the most succesful sires in the world on the track and in the auction ring. Silver Age's 2nd dam, All Systems Go, was a 4 time winner of $72,161 and has produced 10 winners herself, including 2 stakes placed runners and another earner of over $300,000. She is by RELAUNCH, a prolific sire and broodmare sire. Relaunch is an important source of early speed and maturity and his progeny are capable of carrying that speed a classic distance as they mature. No sire appears as often as Relaunch within the first two generations of the winners of the 1 1/4 mile Breeder's Cup Classic.

The result of Silver Age's breeding to these important and proven sires / broodmare sires is an A++ eNicks rating and an A++ True Nicks rating. Stakes winners bred on this Pulpit - Unbridled's song cross include Grade I winner's TAPIT, GENERAL QUARTERS and SKY MESA.

This Kentucky Bred 2 year-old filly is being trained by Bret Calhoun and she is based at Arlington Park in the summer of 2009. From that base she can run at Arlington Park and Churchill Downs quite easily. Plans after the summer remain fluid at this time, but the fall Churchill and Keeneland meets are quite possible. After that, we'd likely be looking at Fair Grounds in New Orleans, LA or Oaklawn in Hot Springs, AR for the winter. We anticipate her being ready to run around the end of July.

BOSTON POPS BAND - 2006 gelding by Bowman's Band out of Boston Princess (Hay Halo) - Accredited Virginia Bred

3 Year-Old gelding by Bowman's BandBoston Pops Band

Boston Pops Band is an outstanding looking and extremely well put together 3 year-old chestnut gelding by BOWMAN'S BAND (Dixieland Band - Hometown Queen). He's well-balanced with great bone and is extremely smart. He has a beautiful way of going on the track.

His sire, Bowman's Band, was a stakes winner of 7 races and earned over $1.3 million on the race track. To add to those impressive numbers, he was sound and durable. Bowman's Band won or placed in 18 stakes races, five of them Grade I, and earned 20 triple digit Beyer Speed Figures in an outstanding career that continued through age 6.

As Dan Illman from the Daily Racing Form commented on May 30, 2008: "You have to respect Bowman's Band's longevity.  Unraced at two, he won stakes from ages three to five, and ran twelve times as a six-year-old.  His stakes-winning dam was second in the Kentucky Oaks, and she is the granddam of Illinois Derby winner Pollard's Vision.  The female family is wonderful as Chris Evert is the third dam.  Notable names in the family include All Rainbows (dam of Winning Colors), Six Crowns (dam of Chief's Crown), and Viviana (dam of Sightseek, Tates Creek). I don't think the Bowman's Band's will be very precocious, but they should provide sneaky-good value on the turf as three-year-old maidens."

Boston Pops Band comes from a hard knocking female family. His 1st dam, Boston Princess, by Hay Halo, was a multiple winner herself and is the dam of 2 other multiple winners. His 2nd dam, Majestic River, was also a winner and is half-sister to 2 other stakes winners (ROYAL SPORAN & RUNS LIKE A PRINCE). She has produced 5 multiple winners herself, including a 9-time winner and an 8-time winner.

This Virginia Bred 3 year-old gelding will be based out at Fair Hill training center in Maryland. From that base, he'll be able to run on the MD, VA, DE, NY & PA circuits. In addition to being a Virginia Bred and eligible for the 100% bonus at Colonial Downs and the VA Bred stakes program, Boston Pops Band is fully nominated to the Maryland Million and it's bonus program as well.

He will be trained by Mark Shuman and should be ready to run in late August.

All of our partnerships assume the structure of a Limited Liability Corporation. LLCs offer the legal protection of a corporation combined with the ability and opportunity for members to take advantage of benefits associated with a partnership. Every partnership has its own LLC registered individually with the State of Illinois and the IRS.

    Here is how it works.....

Either by auction, private purchase or via the claim box, Dare To Dream Stable will acquire a horse or horses. The goal/objectives of each particular venture will be known up front (ie, claiming, auction, private purchase, one horse, multiple horses, etc.). Once the objectives for a particular venture have been determinedthe venture will be published on this site with a summary of the important details as well as a complete Agreement for the venture. The pricing and other details of each venture will vary in accordance with the goals and objectives for the particular venture.  However, each venture will share these characteristics:Jeryy Bailey aboard Raving Rocket at Gulfstream - Feb. 2005

    1. All the partners share in income and expenses in proportion to their capital investment.  We raise enough capital at the outset so that we hope to avoid frequent cash calls for expenses. If we make a profit in excess of what is needed to maintain a 3 month expense reserve, we will make a distribution of the excess cash.
    2. There are no ongoing or monthly management, accounting or legal fees. (In some other partnerships, these fees can be $1,000 a month per horse, or more.). The managing partner is reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses only.
    3. The managing partner gets a 5% partnership interest (in addition to any cash investment he might make), but pays his full share of partnership expenses. In addition, the managing partner will get a bonus (in the form of a percentage of purse money earned by the stables horses as per each partnerships agreement) if our horses are successful.
    4. We contribute up to 1% of all our purses to race track charities, including organizations for the care and adoption of retired race horses, backstretch workers and their families, funds for injured and disabled jockeys and exercise riders and the Riding For A Cure.
