A horse will be purchased at the upcoming KEENELAND September Yearling Sale September 14-26, 2026. The horse will be placed with rising-star trainer Christopher Davis. We expect the horse to be racing in the Spring, summer, and Fall at Keeneland / Churchill Downs / Ellis Park /Horseshoe Indianapolis. Winters will likely be at Turfway Park in Kentucky or Oaklawn Park in Arkansas, depending on what is the best fit. Expected purchase price range will be $20,000 to $75,000.

The following are the available interest level options, along with the corresponding pricing range for each. These figures include a $25K expense reserve to cover the horse for an 8-month period following the sale (September 2026 through April 2027),  as well as commissions.

The following percentage levels are available:

  • 2% interest          $1,050.00 – $2,350.00
  • 5% interest          $2,575.00 – $5,825.00
  • 10% interest       $5,100.00 – $11,600.00

How does it work?

Once you have decided to get in and picked your percentage, you will be billed in advance for the highest possible price we may pay at the auction for that percentage.  If the actual auction price is less than the uppermost limit stated above, you will be refunded the difference within 7 days of the purchase.

Our commission (already figured into above price ranges) is simple and transparent. 25% on the hammer (sale) price with a $17.5K maximum & $7.5K minimum. 5% interests purchased will receive an additional $50 discount and 10% interests purchased will receive an additional $150 discount.
